Game Awards 2017 : Zelda élu le meilleur jeu de l'année et Overwatch rafle le prix du meilleur jeu e-sport

En effet, les Game Awards sont en quelque sort l'équivalent des Oscars dans l'industrie du jeu vidéo, là où se retrouvent tous les acteurs ayant marqué cette année et qui espèrent pouvoir repartir accompagné d'un trophée. Pour cette quatrième édition, Geoff Keighley, le créateur de l'événement s'est entouré de nombreuses personnalités afin de dévoiler le palmarès des Game Awards 2017, mais aussi pour révéler au public les dernières annonces des développeurs. 

Plusieurs révélations et nouveautés ont donc été dévoilées à l'instar du nouveau mode temporaire de Fortnite: Battle Royale, la sortie de World War Z en jeu vidéo, une bande-annonce impressionnante pour Death Stranding et bien entendu comme promis, les premières images de gameplay de la nouvelle map désertique de PUBG. 

En ce qui concerne le palmarès de cette quatrième édition, le prix du Jeu le Plus Attendu a été attribué à The Last of US II et Cuphead a remporté plusieurs trophées tels que la Meilleure Direction Artistique et le Meilleur Jeu Indépendant. Pour ce qui est de l'e-sport, c'est Overwatch qui a été élu devançant ainsi League of Legends et CS-GO. Quant au prix du Meilleur Jeu de l'année, il a été décerné à The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
